Lead magnet

A lead magnet is a useful resource, such as a guide, checklist, valuation or calculator result, offered to website visitors in exchange for their contact details. The best ones answer a question the visitor already has, at the moment they have it.

Why agents care

Calculators make strong lead magnets for agents because they're personal: the visitor's own numbers are worth keeping, and the lead arrives with context.

Example

Example: a seller net sheet offering to email the line-by-line breakdown gets better seller leads than a generic 'free home valuation' form.

Questions by topic

Lead magnet: common questions

What makes a good real estate lead magnet?

It answers a specific question, delivers value immediately and gives you context for follow-up.

Should the result be gated behind the form?

Usually not. Show the result first and offer to send it. That earns more genuine leads.
