Who we are
CalcCapture (“CalcCapture”, “we”, “us”) provides embeddable real estate and mortgage calculators, lead capture and a lightweight contact manager for US real estate agents, teams and brokerages. This policy explains how we handle personal information on our website, calccapture.com, and in the CalcCapture application. Contact details are at the end.
Two roles
- Visitors to calccapture.com and our customers. We decide how this information is used, and this policy describes that use.
- People who use a calculator on a customer’s website (“end users”). The customer, usually an agent, team or brokerage, decides how leads are used. We process that information on their behalf as a service provider. End users should read the privacy notice on the website where they used the calculator. If we receive a request from an end user, we’ll forward it to the relevant customer.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, company or brokerage, and password (stored as a secure hash).
- Billing details: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive limited information such as card brand, the last four digits and billing address, never full card numbers.
- Messages: what you send through our contact form, by email, or when you sign up for our newsletter.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data in server logs: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and referring pages. We use it to keep the service secure and reliable.
- Preferences stored in your browser: your theme, color palette, accessibility settings, cookie choice, recent searches and language. These stay on your device. See our cookie policy.
- Analytics, only if analytics is enabled on this site and you accept it. It’s currently not enabled.
Information in customer workspaces
- Leads captured by calculators, such as name, email, phone, consent, the calculator inputs and results, the page used and attribution data (UTM tags, ad click IDs, referrer, landing page).
- Contact records, notes and statuses our customers create.
How we use information
- To provide, secure and maintain the website and the service, including authentication and two-factor authentication.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions, trials and refunds.
- To answer questions and provide support.
- To send service messages, and marketing emails if you’ve opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how the website is used, only if you’ve consented to analytics.
- To comply with the law and enforce our terms.
How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers that help us run the service, such as hosting, payment processing and email delivery, under contracts that limit their use of it.
- Destinations our customers configure, such as the webhook URLs a customer sets to send leads to their CRM.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect rights, safety and the security of the service.
- A successor, if our business is merged or acquired, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, tax and dispute purposes. Workspace data is deleted or anonymized after an account closes, except where the law requires us to keep it. Customers can delete contacts at any time.
Security
Workspaces are isolated from one another. Sign-in supports two-factor authentication. All connections use HTTPS, and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe you’ve found a vulnerability, email [email protected].
Your US privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California (CCPA as amended by the CPRA) and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- know about and access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete personal information;
- receive a portable copy;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising (we do neither);
- limit the use of sensitive personal information (we don’t use it in ways that require this); and
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale and sharing. To make a request, use our data request page or email [email protected]. You may use an authorized agent. We’ll verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. California residents can learn more from the California Privacy Protection Agency at cppa.ca.gov.
Marketing emails
Our marketing emails follow the CAN-SPAM Act: they identify us, include a postal address once one is published, and every email has a working unsubscribe link that we honor promptly.
Children
Our services are for businesses and aren’t directed to children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We’ll update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. We’ll announce material changes in the app or by email.
