IDX

IDX (Internet Data Exchange) lets participating brokers display other brokers' MLS listings on their websites under MLS rules. IDX vendors provide the search, listing pages and lead registration features many agent websites use. What you can add to IDX pages, such as custom HTML, depends on the vendor.

Why agents care

Most agent websites run on an IDX product, so knowing whether yours allows custom HTML or iframes on property pages determines how you add calculators.

Example

Example: an agent's IDX template allows a custom HTML block below the property description, so a payment calculator is pasted there with the list price as default.
